Prison Ministry Update

This past Saturday, an outreach team led by Scott Vernon and myself went to Kershaw men's prison to hold a chapel service. It was an incredible night full of God's presence with many lives changed forever. Tyler brought a powerful, timely Word and then Scott brought it home with a heart felt challenge. At least 7 men made salvation decisions and many others came forward for other needs. The altar / prayer time was amazing. We are thankful for the opportunity to minister at Kershaw and believe in God's power to change lives.

If you have an interest in taking part in this area of ministry, please see myself or Scott Vernon.

Blessings,

Missions Giving! ~ New Destiny Community Church

We at New Destiny Community Church are currently supporting on a monthly basis the following mission projects: Missionaries to Mexico ~ Clint Snuggs and family, Missionaries to Honduras ~ Ken Harrell and Family, STL ~ Speed the Light (Youth Missions program of Assemblies of God), BGMC ~ Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade, and El Roi Ministries ~ Prison Ministry.

Last Month, I gave some information regarding our foreign missionaries. For this blog, we will learn a little about STL and BGMC!

BGMC:

What Does BGMC Do?

"BGMC is the AG missions program for kids that instills a heart of compassion to reach the lost through praying, giving, and going. All funds raised through BGMC go to meet critical needs around the world such as feeding programs, water wells, Bible schools, curriculum, and whatever else a missionary needs in their part of the world."

Did you know? Among the Assemblies of God Missionaries, most were initially called to be missionaries while they were children!

************************************************************************************
Speed the Light:

The concept is simple: we give so others can speed the light of the gospel to a world in darkness. This is accomplished by providing the “essential transportation and creative communication” equipment for missionary evangelism. Through modern transportation, radio, television, the printed word, and equipment for mass evangelism, our missionaries can better fulfill the Great Commission.

Speed the Light (STL) is the student-initiated, volunteer, charitable program that provides much-needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. Since its beginning, STL has raised over $220 million for missionary equipment around the world.

On behalf of New Destiny Community Church, thank you to everyone who is supporting as by praying and financially so we can reach this community and beyond.

Blessings,

Prison Ministry - Outreach this Saturday, May 15th

Please be in prayer as we get prayed up and ready for this Saturday's Prison Outreach to the men's prison. We are believing for a mighty outpouring from the Lord ~ with many men making salvation decisions, others being drawn closer to HIM and all of us enjoying His presence. I am believing we will all be changed from our time in worship, testimony, The Word and His Presence.

Thus far we have seen 20 salvation decisions this year from our previous 2 chapel services and many others were prayed for other needs.

Blessings,

Finally brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of a good report – if there is any virtue and if there is any praise- think on these things. ~Philippians 4:8
